The first international music competition "I. Grunewald International Music Competition" in the former Mendelssohn family palace in the middle of Berlin's Grunewald, idyllically located in a large park, will take place on March 1st - 11th, 2024.

The goals of the competition are to support highly talented young musicians up to the age of 35 on their career path, to enable exchange between young musicians, to establish contact with recognized soloists and professors, to expand musical experiences and to contribute to international understanding. The competition also supports young up-and-coming artists through cash prizes, non-cash prizes and vouchers. Particular emphasis is placed on arranging concert engagements in order to provide the young artists with the best possible support as they start their careers, including a performance with the Geringas Chamber Orchestra in the CMH of Berlin Philharmonic on June 10, 2024.
